my mind replays
memories of us
each night, and
i am lost, lost
lost
in the shadows of
your eyes, the curve
of your almost-smiles,
the lullabies in your
voice, the sound of
your footsteps.
don't wake me up
just yet.
.
i told you that
i would change, that
i'd paint the sky violet
for you, that i would
miss you, and i could
catch you a rainbow,
or a heart beat,
or star, or a smile,
or whatever you want,
but 'whatever you want'
was not me, and
i was never enough
to make you stay.
.
all i ever wanted
was for you to say
'i love you',
but i guess
some things
are better left unsaid.

you were the fire in my eyes,
but i wanted to put you out.
Granted it's still good (stars will stop shining when I see your work as anything but)
It just has a much more hopeless feel then it normally does
It's the truth though
Some things are best left unsaid.
Even when you want them to be said.
And of course, per usual, I read aloud again ^^

I'll play you like a marrionet...
Its true though that somethings are better left unsaid

I have loved to the point of madness;
That which is called madness,
That which to me, is the only sensible way to love.
Francoise Sagan
heartbreakingly sad.
but i adore it.

rain flow to the roots
rain drench my boots
rain douse the flame
rain forget this poet's name
that's really beautiful.
No, this doesn't feel like you, but it's still pretty heartfelt and emotional, something that seems to be missing from a lot of poetry

I love you
I truly do
was not me, and
i was never enough
to make you stay."
my favorite line. simply beautiful.
